Seasons Devotional
Day 1
When I Don't Understand It, I'll Worship
Verse of the Day
Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised;
His greatness is unsearchable.
Psalm 145:3 NRSV
How many times have you been through that you felt you didn't understand why God made things this way or that way, or why He let you go through this joy or that sorrow?
It's a question many do ask, and yet sometimes God does not seem to give us an answer, or let us understand His will at that present moment.
​
But have you ever pondered about why God made things as such, and remembered that way before you were born, He already knew about this particular circumstance in your life journey?
God is Omnipotent, and though it may seem tough; to worship God for whatever He let us go through, it is just one way of honouring Him and telling Him, "God, not my will, but yours be done!"
"In my distress I called to the Lord; I called to my God. From his heavenly temple he heard my voice; he listened to my cry for help." (2 Samuel 22:7)
God promised that David will become the next king of Israel, yet he was under Saul's pursue, running for his life! Yet, in his distress, David worshipped and called out to Almighty God, and God was faithful to David and protected Him.
​
Take the step of courage today, to present your current circumstances, or even past grievances, to Almighty God, and worship Him for who He is and ask Him to reign over your life, even if you do not understand what He is currently doing, for I am certain, He is working something good out of everything, for this is Our God!
Day 2
I've Every Reason, In Every Season
Verse of the Day
For everything there is a season, a time for
every activity under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
God is the orchestrator! Do you believe that? Every season that you go through is all in His perfect plan. Sometimes it may feel difficult to believe so, but God is constantly working for our good.
Oftentimes, as humans, we tend to want to rush into things, say recovery, grades, achievements, and our often impatient selves always take the lead.
​
However, God promises to us that there is a time for everything! In Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, God lists almost every aspect in the human life, and tells us that there is a time for every thing listed.
So in the same way, don't rush through the things or challenges you may be facing, but instead, take it to the Lord and wait upon Him. He knows when it's the best time for each and every one of you.
Day 3
You're Always Here With Me
Verse of the Day
Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
Isaiah 41:10
Who here has faced a tough season of your life before? I certainly have, be it in studies, family.. trials and tribulations do come along.
But it is always so amazing to see that God always shows Himself in the darkest of times. He tells us to run to Him and cry out to Him! He reminds us of His omnipresence, and be it wherever you may be, He is always there.
It's okay to feel sometimes that it is tough to call out to God, sometimes you wonder, "God are you really there? I don't seem to be seeing any change in my circumstance.." and let me assure you that it's perfectly okay!

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
This famous verse from the bible encapsulates everything that God has to say to you today.
Take the step of faith to trust His plan and timing today. He is always with you.
Reflection Questions
Day 1:
- What situation can you offer up to God today that you do not understand?
- How can you worship God in indescribable circumstances? Pray and ask God for wisdom and help.
- Offer up a song of praise and thanksgiving to God wherever you are right now!

Day 2:
- What aspect of your life do you feel you have been rushing to make good or haven't been entrusting it to God to
wait upon His timing?
- Take some time to come humbly before God and ask Him for strength to wait upon Him. It can be a long journey
but it's so worth it!

Day 3:
- What dark season / situation would you want to surrender to God today?
- Take some time to listen to Seasons and give your everything to the Lord in worship today.
